Privacy policy
Effective October 9, 2026
Riverbank Financial Group (“Riverbank”, “we”, “us”) is a commercial loan broker. This policy explains what information we collect through riverbankcap.com and our funding application, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to this website and to business owners who apply for financing through it.
Information we collect
When you apply
The application asks for information about your business and its owners, including:
- Business details — legal and trade name, entity type, EIN, address, industry, start date, revenue and the amount and purpose of the financing you are seeking.
- Owner details — name, ownership percentage, home address, date of birth, Social Security number and estimated credit score.
- Contact details — email address and phone number.
- Documents — bank statements and any other files you upload.
- Your signature and your agreement to the certification and authorization on the form.
From third parties
With your authorization, we and our funding partners may obtain credit reports on the business and its owners from consumer and commercial credit bureaus, and may verify the information you provide with other sources such as banks, public records and identity-verification services.
Automatically, when you visit
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information with each request — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to operate and secure the site. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Some page content is loaded from third-party services: fonts from Google Fonts and certain images from Pexels. Those services receive your IP address and browser information when your browser requests the content, and handle it under their own privacy policies.
How we use information
- To review your application and match your business with funding providers likely to make an offer.
- To verify your identity and the information you submit, and to prevent fraud.
- To contact you about your application and your financing options by phone, email or text message.
- To operate, maintain and secure our website and systems.
- To comply with law, respond to legal process, and enforce our agreements.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Funding providers. Submitting an application authorizes us to share it, with your documents, with third-party lenders and funding providers in our network so they can evaluate it and make offers. Each provider handles the information under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers that process information on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and storage, and the systems we use to manage applications. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Credit bureaus and verification services, as described above.
- For legal reasons — when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Riverbank, our customers or others.
- In a business transfer — if Riverbank is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Text messages
If you provide a mobile number and agree to be contacted, we may send you text messages about your application. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or by telling your funding advisor. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
How long we keep information
We keep your application, the documents you upload and related records for as long as needed to arrange and service your financing and to meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations. Funding providers that receive your application keep it under their own retention policies.
How we protect information
The application is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to applications and documents is restricted, and application contents are never written to our server logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect the information you give us.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to the records we are legally required to keep. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, and we will honor requests as those laws require. To make a request, contact your funding advisor. We will need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email, and out of text messages by replying STOP.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
